If you are worried about the climate and ecological crisis, you are not alone. As an employee, you have a voice and can make a difference to impact on change for good.

Nearly two-thirds (62%) of people surveyed think their employers should be doing more to tackle issues such as nature loss and climate change. (YouGov 2024) 

Universities and further education colleges represent 2.3% of the UK’s carbon footprint. A 2023 report written by representatives from 21 universities and colleges reviewed data from 537 institutions and found that they emitted more than 18 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) into the environment in 2020/21. The report estimates that green IT can deliver 75% reduction by 2030/31. Yet many Higher Education sustainability plans have not yet included educational technology or digital education.
